The Wood Glass Bead Curtain is made of red tear drop transparent glass beads and wood beads. The contrast of the transparent glass bead with the dense wood bead allows for the red in the curtain to shine though creating an almost unexpected dazzling play with light. This particular curtain is in a V shape and 2ft at its longest point and there by can be describes as a Toran.
‘Torans’ or embellishments on doors have traditionally adorned Indian homes to welcome guests with good wishes and blessings as they enter a house. Torans are typically bright colored and vivacious and made of cloth, glass, mirror or even fresh leaves.
We have designed ‘Trails’ or 1 to 1.5ft long bead curtains to be used as Torans or around the house where they add embellishing on the frames of doors and windows without separating spaces. Another Wood Glass Curtain adapted as a Toran Trail Below.
